I’m beginning to think this has something to do with the Rat – he wouldn’t let a little thing like being trapped in another dimension interfere with his attempts at Science. He was probably trying to create a new flavor of salad dressing, and accidentally leached all the color out of the world instead.
Knowing prof. Rat, the salad dressing is tasty and colourful.
Once he’s shitting it out again, and uses that to fuel another dimensional aggravator, colour returns differently……
